Is situated on the Costa de la Luz and is famous for good windconditions to practise all kinds of watersports. The most famous is Kitesurfing which is easy to learn if well supervised by professional instructors.

The town has about 18.000 inhabitants and is a safe place. Due to the sporty atmosphere mostly young people come to Tarifa which makes the town colourful. Nevertheless traditions are kept up in this lovely fishing town.

The endless beaches are beyond compare. The further unique feature is that the Mediterranean sea and the Atlantic ocean meet in Tarifa and that the African continent in front is reachable in 35 minutes by the ferry boat. On clear days the views over the Strait of Gibraltar towards Morocco are overhelming and unforgettable.

Along with all of this Tarifa is the most southern town in Europe. Málaga is the closest airport and the Rock of Gibraltar is also nearby with a smaller airport that offers mainly domestic flights to Great Britain.

The old town is surrounded by the old wall and the small alleys in the old part of Tarifa bring the visitor back to older times and reflect the Arabic influence. An absolute must is a visit to the church „San Mateo“ or the Castle „Guzmán el Bueno“.

Tarifa is small so that no public transport is necessary to move around. Many small handcraft shops in the old part of the town and even more shops for sports on the main street invite us to stroll around and make shopping enjoyable.

For the water sports, such as Kitesurfing, Windsurfing or SUP the beaches around Tarifa fulfill all necessary conditions for practising the visitor's favourite sport as they are wide and the wind conditions are perfect there.
